If you’re getting all geared up to work with a Dingley personal trainer, it’s important that you fully understand some of the important things that you should be discussing with them as you get started with your training.

Those who don’t take the time to lay out a solid foundation upon which they can begin working together will not see the results that they were hoping for.  Since your Dingley personal trainer cannot read your mind, there are a few things that you need to be notifying them about.

If you are like me you then you are naturally sceptical of converts and zealots of all types. Perhaps after reading this you think I am one. But the bottom line is this; if you are feeling like you are in bad shape and there is no other option than just sitting around waiting for things to get worse, then there is another choice if you want to take it – and people are willing to help you. Higher Level Training is a nice small gym, with a really personalised approach to helping you get where you want to go. Although the gym is small it has excellent staff, nice non-poser members, and enough equipment, programs and classes to please any sensible person. A couple of specific recommendations I would have are:

(1) Book in for some personal training sessions, especially when you are starting out. They are very motivating and provide excellent feedback on your progress and goals.

(2) Do the Mini-me program. Exercise is only half the issue if you want to get into better shape, and the sooner you deal with the eating side of the equation the sooner you will start to see results. Doing this in a group format (like Mini-Me) was much more effective for me than trying to do it alone.

With his care, I was able to live relatively pain-free and return to normal activities. A couple of months later, we decided that I was strong enough and ready to face the challenge of losing weight. I was on the mini me program for 12 Weeks. During this time I lost 17kg my jeans went from 34 to 30. I use to wear Large T-shirts now I wear Medium.

I chose the mini me program at Higher Level Training because it works, I have done the mini me program before and had some good results, this time my results were amazing.

Before joining Higher Level I was feeling good but felt that I was carrying around some extra weight that I was unable to get rid of. I had average fitness and was weighing about 96 to 97kg

My goal when I started was to lose about 10kg. The first thing that I noticed when I began the program was that our weekly shop became $20 a week cheaper due us not buying Chips, Chocolate, ice cream and other junk food.
We also stopped having take away meals and didn’t eat out as much. So all in all we were about $50 a week better off while I was taking part in the program.

After doing the program I just feel really good, I’m running and cycling faster than I ever have and I’m managing to keep most of the weight off.

But I am starting to get a bit tired with everyone that I know coming up to me a telling me how good I look.

I have been up and down with my weight over the years.

I thought 1kg per week would be a great achievement!

When I started out the 12 weeks, I had not done any proper exercise, ever. I tried gyms and hated them; I never enjoyed the feel of the places and never felt motivated to train.

Well things have definitely changed for me I set a goal at the start of the 12 weeks to lose 1kg per week but after dropping 4.5kg just in week 2, it seemed like I needed to adjust my goal. 6 weeks came and I had already reached 12 kg lost.

Having the support of the group each week and the group training sessions was amazing. Jumping on the scales and watching the number fly off was the greatest feeling. I knew that with the tools the team at Higher Level Training were giving me the weight would keep falling off. The work that I was putting in was all well and truly worth it. When I stepped on the scales at the end of the 12 weeks with a total loss of just over 23kg, I was pumped!!

I just wanted to say thank you. I have lost 16kg since starting to work with Adam. His broad knowledge and encouragement have guided me to amazing achievements along the way.

I am astounded with what we have achieved in such a small amount of time.

When I first started the higher level weight loss program I was hoping to maybe lose 10kg but did not have any really expectation of achieving this. Based on past attempts and experiences I did not think I could achieve this goal.

I am now in control of my food and health.

I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to do the 12 weeks when I did. I am no 10kg down and my fitness has never been better. The final workout I did with Adam was the hardest hr of my training life, but to look back at what I actually just survived I feel proud of how fit and healthy I have become.

I have 4 young kids and life is crazy and keeping my weight off was always a challenge. I was never a priority and taking the time to look after my health and fitness just never seemed important.

Higher Level is awesome; I went out every week for date night and still lost 10kg!!

I have found the balance that works for me and I feel like I now have the tools to stay on top of my weight forever.
